CANOA CACILHEIRA

Canoa Cacilheira (Com duas velas de prôa - original envergava apenas uma). Embarcação típica do rio Tejo, destinada  ao transporte de mercadorias, animais e passageiros entre as duas margens do rio. Semelhante à fragata do tejo mas de menor porte.

"Canoa Cacilheira".  Canoe (with two headsail - original with only one). Typical boat of the Tagus River, for the transport of goods, animals and passengers between the two banks of the river. Similar to the Tagus frigate but smaller.

Num vale despido de complexidade, em que apenas se denotam os elementos vegetais da vida primitiva inicial, protegido por uma muralha de montanhas isolando-o de todo o caos cósmico, Eva fixa o olhar em Adão, como se o convidasse a saborear o fruto da àrvore do conhecimento, que ampara, como que segurando todo o futuro do mundo na palma da mão. Adão, detém-se expectante. Os céus revolvem-se numa antecipação do grande evento que irá moldar todo curso da vida humana na terra.

In a valley stripped of complexity, in which only denote the elements of the early vegetal life, protected by a wall of mountains isolating it from all the cosmic chaos Eve stares at Adam, as if to invite him to enjoy the fruit from the tree of knowledge holding it safe as if the whole future of the world was in the palm of her hand. Adam holds expectantly. The heavens revolve in an anticipation of the great event that will shape the entire course of human life on earth.

Nesta paisagem marinha, o barco no centro destaca-se deixando ao fundo os seus competidores.

Ilustra-se o momento em que após um dia de actividade pescatória os barcos e seus tripulantes se precipitam para o porto numa corrida, (uma verdadeira regata) para garantir o melhor preço do pescado na lota...

Dramatizando a cena, avizinham-se algumas nuvens escuras nos céus que instam à pressa de sair dali, pois para além de perderem o bom preço para o seu pescado, os homens podem ainda perder o seu barco e as suas vidas.

Não basta ser bom pescador, é também necessário ser bom marinheiro e bom navegante, manobrando bem e tomando as opções certas.
